I really must say this is a big load of dooky. First off, I am going to immediately expound upon the fact that these are not single use bags. Cat little boxes and bathroom waste baskets. Gee, I guess you’ll have to use paper bags for that now. Oops! Runny kitty poopy soak through the bag? Bag doesn’t fit in bathroom trash bin? That renders the paper bag into a piece of trash. I imagine they’ll get recycled very little.
I make lunch for my lady every day. For the first gazillion days, she used one of these so-called ‘single use’ bags. It worked great. We switched to a different one because I wanted a change of scenery on the bag. Went from a black thrift store logo to a Uwajimaya logo with a colorful dragon on it.
I hope the Edmonds folks who got this sily law passed realize that it saves no dolphins or whales. Ban plastic. That might do it.

So there are fires east of the mountains and up in British Columbia – that’s why the sun is so orangey right now. It’s pretty awesome looking from here – the camera doesn’t do it justice.
