So for Kit’s birthday, I treated her to dim sum at the New Hong Kong restaurant on S. Jackson in Seattle’s Chinatown. I was stoked to see Shark Fin dumplings so ordered those. See, this place does all day dim sum and they had menus to pick things off of (yes, we got one) and they also had something called Garlic Beef Omasum. Well we thought the omasum was the shark and the omasum is beef stomach! Gnarly, dude! The pic with the fork is shark fin dumplings by the way. Those were really good. The omasum was tough, kind of like calamari and like pork rinds that have been chewed far too long. Afterwards I treated Kit to ice cream but we got some grocery store sushi rolls. We got a 12 piece eel box! Kit liked em too! Eel’s been a favorite of mine for eons. Finally we had some chips with cheese and sour cream and tried a couple awesome hot sauces I got from Kit’s sis. Was a day full of tasty adventure with my beautiful love. We had fun. The end!
